The cardiovascular system is affected by acute and chronic changes exercise-induced. In athletes with hypertension, the possibility of competitive physical activity depends on risk stratification. In fact, the presence of concomitant cardiovascular risk factors (smoking, dyslipidemia, family history) or organ damage (left ventricular hypertrophy with special attention) must be carefully researched and evaluated. Also can be evaluated particular aspects of hypertension as white-coat hypertension and spurious systolic hypertension. The choice of drugs for antihypertensive therapy should be guided by the latest signs of the scientific literature, but must also consider the possibility that the use of certain drugs constitutes the possibility of doping.

Abstract
The cardiovascular system is affected by acute and chronic changes exercise-induced. In athletes with hypertension, the possibility of competitive physical activity depends on risk stratification. In fact, the presence of concomitant cardiovascular risk factors (smoking, dyslipidemia, family history) or organ damage (left ventricular hypertrophy with special attention) must be carefully researched and evaluated. Also can be evaluated particular aspects of hypertension as white-coat hypertension and spurious systolic hypertension. The choice of drugs for antihypertensive therapy should be guided by the latest signs of the scientific literature, but must also consider the possibility that the use of certain drugs constitutes the possibility of doping.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
