We derive a manifestly superconformally covariant unfolded formulation of the free (2, 0) tensor multiplet in six spacetime dimensions. The system con- sists of a superconformal background connection, a zero-form containing the system’s local degrees of freedom, and a pair of abelian two-form potentials, each sourced by a chiral projection of the zero-form in such a way that one of them reduces to pure gauge on super-Poincaré backgrounds. The construction of the corresponding cocycles on general superconformal backgrounds goes one step beyond previous results in the super-Poincaré case.
