Six Sigma is an effective tool that aims to improve product and process quality. Further to the introduction of Directive 98/37/EC, machinery’s quality is strictly related to its safety; in order to prove machinery’s functionality and reliability, the directive requests the compilation of some documents. This article is about the development of a novel Six Sigma project that aims to the optimisation of a management process: the production of a technical construction file, one of the most important documents demanded by directive.
