This position paper supports research activities aimed to define feasible processes for suppliers proving document classification services with a guaranteed classification quality.Since, in the presence of a Service Level Agreement (SLA) between suppliers and customers, missing a SLA target may involve the contract resolution and/or financial penalties, we assume a supplier is ready to adopt any economically viable classification strategy useful to respect SLA targets. The purpose of this paper is to stimulate research activities in a scenario where neither manual nor full automatic classification process are feasible. To reach this goal we introduce a real case study and we point out some issues we believe should be addressed to define realistic solutions.

Abstract
This position paper supports research activities aimed to define feasible processes for suppliers proving document classification services with a guaranteed classification quality.Since, in the presence of a Service Level Agreement (SLA) between suppliers and customers, missing a SLA target may involve the contract resolution and/or financial penalties, we assume a supplier is ready to adopt any economically viable classification strategy useful to respect SLA targets. The purpose of this paper is to stimulate research activities in a scenario where neither manual nor full automatic classification process are feasible. To reach this goal we introduce a real case study and we point out some issues we believe should be addressed to define realistic solutions.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
