The use of slots to increase air speed is a long established technique in the aerodynamic design. This is usually done in the aeronautic design, Handley Page’s slots are a classical example of such technique. In this research we examine their use to improve air penetration capabilities on motorbikes manufactured by Aprilia Company. Slots are positioned onto the motorbike front fender to postpone air flow separation at the sides, and onto the bike tail, in order to shorten the rear wake.
